SMT Software has completed the second stage of the strategic alliance with Deloitte
At the end of 2009, SMT Software S.A., a software house listed on the NewConnect stock market, concluded an agreement with the Polish department of Deloitte and thus became the preferred contractor for Deloitte’s IT projects. At present, negotiations with a group of Deloitte’s clients have been completed. As a result, the VIIP system maintenance and development agreements with the said clients concluded with Deloitte will be transferred to SMT Software. These clients include Castorama and Johnson & Johnson.
The cooperation between Deloitte and SMT Software continues since 2006. SMT Software has been a subcontractor in many of Deloitte’s developer projects and has supported Deloitte’s IT team with outsourced specialists. At the end of 2009, SMT Software and the Polish department of Deloitte started the strategic alliance, which was followed by the creation of a joint developer team.
At present, the second stage of the alliance is complete. During this stage, the agreements concerning maintenance and development of the VIIP system have been transferred to SMT Software. The system was designed to facilitate the management of the reporting responsibilities levied on Poland after its accession to the European Union. The system generates Intrastat and VAT-EU declarations and calculates the tax amounts for the VAT-7 declaration connected with the intra-Union transactions, as well as import and export of goods and services.
