SMT Software: annual report for 2010 and strategic plans for the current year

SMT Software published the results for the previous year and announced information concerning the company’s strategy for 2011.

SMT Software concluded the year 2010 with the net revenues from sales at the level of PLN 18,16 mil., which translates into a 78% increase in comparison with the revenues achieved in 2009 (PLN 10,20 mil.). In 2010 the company noted twice higher net profit than in the previous year: 2010 (PLN 2,70 mil.), 2009 (PLN 1,36 mil.). The board at SMT Software plans to maintain the intense growth of the company by continuing the investments started in 2010.

In the nearest future a new website of the company Traffic Info Sp. z o. o., which is entirely owned by SMT Software, will be launched. TrafficInfo service will be directed to individual Internet and mobile devices (e.g. phones, smartphones, tablets) users and will provide them with information regarding traffic jam and road obstacles.

At present the company develops another IT system for internet travel booking dedicated to the business customers. Main goal of iAlbatros application is to provide support to the corporate clients in hotel and businesss travel booking management. The application will be available in SaaS (Software as a Service) form. At the beginning, it will handle the hotel booking process and in the future it will support air and railway travel management as well as car rental. The board at SMT Software expects that the iAlbatros S.A. company, which was founded at the end of 2010, will note first revenues in the third quarter 2011.

„In this year we expect that SMT Software will increase its share in execution of big dedicated IT systems with major budgets, which are still in the stage of advanced negotiations.” – said Sebastian Łękawa, Chairman of the board at SMT software S.A. – “We also plan to systematically develop the SMT Mobile department as we noticed an increased number of inquiries regarding mobile services and applications.”

SMT Software aspires to become one of the major IT staff outsourcing services providers in Poland and thus plans to intensify the body leasing sales for the big companies in Poland and abroad (especially in the Netherlands). The 2011 plans also include acquiring new GIS projects in the public sector. The company will focus its sales activities on competencies centers created in the last two years: systems for the financial and the logistics branch. The company also expects market success as its offer now also includes CMS solutions provided by Sitecore, a Danish IT company.
