SMT Software among the 10 best companies on NewConnect

Readers of Inwestycje.pl financial portal chose the best stock companies of 2010. SMT Software was selected as one of the ten best companies nominated in this plebiscite.

 

Inwestycje.pl, one of the biggest Polish independent financial-economic portals, invited its readers to participate in the Best Stock Market Companies of 2010 plebiscite. During the first stage of the plebiscite, participants were asked to fill a short form and answer six questions:

 

Inwestycje.pl readers were asked to answer the following questions: 1. Which company deserves the title of “the stock company of 2010”? Please describe your reasons in max 5 sentences. 2. Which company fulfills its information and announcement duties best (which is the most transparent)? 3. Which company offered the highest profits to the Investors in 2010? 4. Which stock market debut deserves the title “the stock market debut of 2010”? 5. In what company you wish you had invested? 6. Which company has the best development perspectives for 2011?

First stage of the plebiscite was finished when approximately 200 companies from both Warsaw stock exchange markets were nominated - during the next stage all the companies were analyzed by the Program’s Award Committee. Four financial factors were take into account:

• The company’s net income in 2010,
• Profit 2009/2010,
• Return On Equity,
• Return On Sales

 

10 companies with the highest indicators were selected from every category. During the assessment, a 10 point scale was used. The company with the best results in its category (e.g. with the highest net income, ROE etc.) was awarded 10 points.

 

Next stage included analysis of the company’s transparency and the industry’s development perspectives. Every company was assessed with the use of 1-10 scale. The companies assessed as the most transparent were awarded 10 points.

 

The Inwestycje.pl analyst team assigned 20 equal awards – 10 for the companies listed on the main stock market and 10 for those listed on NewConnect. Winners of the plebiscite present on the NewConnect market are listed in the table below, in alphabetical order:
